Tokyo-based Terumo named Corporate Executive Vice President Yutaro Shintaku as its new president.

The Japanese device maker's current president Akira Takahashi will become a corporate adviser. A general stockholder meeting will ratify the appointment on June 29. Terumo said the appointment will strengthen operations amid changes in domestic and global market conditions. Shintaku joined Terumo in 1999 and became Executive Vice President in 2007.
