Vietnam, with nearly 30,000 cases so far, has launched a vaccination program aimed at eradicating measles in the country before 2012.

The campaign began with 8.1 million doses of measles vaccine in hand, donated by several UN-based organizations. The groups also are training health workers and mobilizing other gear to enable health-care workers to reach as many Vietnamese as possible.
