Taiwan's Adimmune Reduces H1N1 Vaccine Vial Size To Match Novartis

This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

Taiwan's CDC and Adimmune, the nation's only producer of H1N1 flu vaccine, have agreed to alter the packaging of the drug as it faces a competitive import. Health authorities earlier decided to give patients a choice of either Adimmune, the subject of negative rumors, or one imported from Novartis of Switzerland. To match the dosage size of the Novartis vaccine, Adimmune is to package its version with 10 doses per vial. The change is expected to reduce the need for people to get immunized in large groups.
