Japan Pharmaceutical Association launched a new generic drug awareness campaign. The association distributed 30 million booklets to deepen understanding of generic drugs among patients. Based on a government initiative of encouraging more generic drug substitutions, JPA is focusing on educating pharmacists and patients of possible generic drug substitutions, the association asks pharmacists to confirm with patients before a substitution.
