Sanofi Pasteur To Produce Influenza A (H1N1) Vaccine In Shenzhen By 2012

Sanofi Pasteur is intensifying efforts to build a vaccine production base in Shenzhen (PharmAsia News, Oct. 20, 2008). The first phase of construction on the facility was completed in October 2008, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by 2012. The facility will produce mainly influenza vaccines for influenza A and B type H1N1 and H3N2, with an annual output for 25 million people. To facilitate the project, Shenzhen municipal government will handle all issues of certification and licenses as well as business consulting by the end of December.
