JPMA Establishes Work Group To Consider Information Disclosure Rule

The Japanese Pharmaceutical Manufacturer's Association June 17 established a work group to discuss rules for disclosing funds provided to medical researchers from drug companies. The association hopes to gather information from overseas and decide on the range and scope of such financial provisions and establish industry-wide policy guidance. JPMA aims to summarize various opinions by the fall. The financial information disclosure guidance intends to address fairness and objectivity issues regarding medical researchers.
