China Campaigns To Counter Criticism as Fake-Drug Source

China is attempting to counter criticism it is the source of a flood of fake or shoddy drugs around the world. A deputy commissioner of the State FDA called a news conference to press the Chinese case that it exports quality drug products and that they are safe. He said China's 4,708 pharmaceutical companies are not responsible for counterfeit drugs. If any fake drugs are being produced in China, he said, they are from illegal companies. (Click here for more
