Towa Of Japan To Build Plant Expanding Pill Capacity By 50 Percent

Japan's Towa Pharmaceutical plans to invest $208.4 million in a new plant to increase its capacity to produce generic drugs. The factory expects to open in March 2012, with an emphasis on producing drugs for treating diabetes and similar diseases. Although no specific drugs were identified, Towa also plans to include within the new plant a facility for producing cancer drugs.
