U.S.-based St. Jude Medical says in plans to bring a score of medical devices to the Japanese market by the end of this year. The 20 pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators are to be accompanied by a Japanese training center to train doctors and technicians in their use. St. Jude already has one device on the market in Japan, its Atlas II ICD line with a remote monitoring function.
