China's Ministry of Health has unveiled its "Main Points Regarding the Financial Task of Health Planning," under which it will push for the reform of public hospitals, implement financial subsidies for public hospitals and start an evaluation of fees for pharmaceutical services, prescriptions and health care. The ministry will also strengthen supervision over the finances, internal controls, drugs, prices of medical services, and equipment acquisition within its subordinate agencies.
