Executive SummaryChina's Ministry of Health recently issued 2009 highlights for infectious disease prevention and control. According to the main points, MOH will draft a white book for the prevention and treatment of major infectious diseases, including influenza, cholera, brucellosis and rabies; it will further improve planning and management of hand-foot-mouth disease. Capacity build-up of the national influenza center will be supported and assessment for the country's influenza monitoring quality carried out.
