Sumitomo Bakelite Establishes Shanghai Office

Sumitomo group medical device subsidiary Sumitomo Bakelite established its first overseas office in Shanghai to expand into the Chinese market. The company said major product SB Vac, a portable and disposable aspirator that keeps low pressure for drainage control following surgery has obtained approval in China. The Shanghai office will start market research for that product and will evaluate the Chinese market for other post-surgery drainage units.
