Zydus Philippines Launched In New Generic Drive That Worries Some

Philippines government officials hailed the launching of a subsidiary of Indian drug maker Zydus Cadila as bringing much-needed generic competition to the Philippines. But the head of the Drugstores Association of the Philippines said he was worried the presence of Zydus Philippines and other drug importers would lead to a saturation of the drugs' market, causing harm to the local pharmaceutical industry.
