GE’s Investment In Wuxi Pays Off

At a recent MOU signing ceremony between GE and the Wuxi government, GE China announced that its investment in the Yangtze river delta has shown results. GE Healthcare established GE Medical Systems (China) in Wuxi with $30 million in 2000, while GE Water & Process Technologies invested $17.6 million in setting up GE Betz Water & Process Chemicals (Wuxi) in 2004. GE Healthcare successfully acquired Wuxi Zhongyuan Medical Equipment in 2006 and named the company GE Healthcare Clinical System (Wuxi).
