This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

China Resources has issued bonds worth RMB 8.5 billion ($1.23 billion), its largest ever issuance. About RMB 5.7 billion will be used in a series of acquisitions, such as for 100 percent of Sanjiu Enterprise Group, 50 percent of Beijing Pharmaceutical Group, 40 pecent of Shanghai Pharmaceutical (Group) and 99 percent of Shanghai Medical Instruments (Group). RMB 1.55 billion will be channelled into consolidating the acquisitions as well as creating a medical industry platform.
