Privately held Japanese major pharmaceutical company Otsuka has decided to introduce a holding company system and establish Otsuka Holdings. The move aims to strengthen oversight of its group companies, including Taiho Pharmaceutical. Taking the form of equity transfer, the new system takes effect July 8.
