India's Dr Reddy's announced it has bought an Italian generics maker, Generici Sri, but did not disclose the purchase price. The announcement came close on the heels of another foreign buy by Indian company Dowpharma's United Kingdom divisions. The acquisition increases Dr Reddy's stake in the Italian pharmaceutical market judged to be worth $893.5 million, the third largest in Europe.
