India Drug Makers Vie To Win South Africa Anti-AIDS Contract

At least three India-based pharmaceuticals are in a bidding war to supply $200 million worth of anti-HIV drugs to the South African government. Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, Cipla and Ranbaxy Laboratories seek to supply 10 anti-AIDS drugs in a deal to be closed in May, when a similar South Africa contract is set to expire.
