Medicio Paltac Holdings and Mitsubishi plan to expand their three-year-old alliance to China by bringing in a top Chinese drug wholesaler into their joint venture. Toho Pharmaceutical and Jointown Group plan to use their own joint venture to market Japanese drugs to Chinese hospitals and pharmacies. The Japanese firms seek to take advantage of a growing Chinese acceptance of Western medicine in a country that still relies heavily on traditional remedies.
