China Tops Growth In Non-Prescription Drugs

At Beijing's recent International Pharmaceutical Federation World Self-Medication Industry Symposium, figures showed that as of Q2 2008, China's average growth rate of non-prescription drug revenue ranked first in the world over the past three years. According to the latest study jointly conducted by Nicholas Hall & Company and Jowin Communications, China's non-prescription drug sales hit $7.3 billion in 2007 and maintain an annual growth rate of roughly 11 percent, far higher than that of the world's average rate of 5.4 percent.
