Vietnamese is concerned the prices for about 200 drugs are rising so far and fast, the health system will not be able to afford them. Vietnam has seen drug prices rising for the past two months and expects the increases to continue, particularly for foreign-made drugs. Since Oct. 1, nearly 60 drugs of one distributor have increased in price by as much as 11 percent, mirroring a similar increase in September.
