Dinh Ngoc Si, director of Vietnam's National Hospital of TB and Lung Diseases, said the problem now is a TB strain that is resistant to many drugs. Vietnam has been targeting the disease, as directed by the World Health Organization, for the past nine years, yet 175 out of every 100,000 people are infected with TB each year.
