Pharma-Co Cell says it plans to launch by the end of January a new version of its blood-brain barrier kit to drug makers and research institutes. The kit provides screening for drug compounds that can enter brain tissue. The Japanese company hopes to sell 100 sets to drug makers. The firm said the improved version includes changes that allow for easier passage of the compounds through cells that represent the blood-brain barrier.
