China Withdraws Licenses of 328 Medical Apparatus Manufacturers (China)

Executive Summary

China's State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has announced the revocation of production licenses for 328 medical equipment firms. According to SFDA representatives, the regulator's actions are the result of "malpractice" on the part of the firms. The SFDA also revoked registration licenses for 65 pieces of medical equipment and canceled registrations for another 147 because of a failure to meet quality standards.
