Sanofi has appointed French academic, civil servant and politician, Xavier Darcos, president of the Sanofi Espoir Foundation. Over the years, Darcos has been senator and mayor of Périgueux, minister of school education, minster of development, cooperation and Francophony, minister of national education and then minister of labor, social affairs, family solidarity and cities. Darcos has also been an ambassador, representing France with the OECD and then from 2010 to 2015 he was ambassador for France's foreign cultural policy.
