Australian companies show more than 99% code of conduct compliance

99.8% of companies comply with the Australian code of conduct when engaging with healthcare professionals, Medicines Australia's code of conduct annual report has revealed. The report showed only 21 of the 52 complaints following the 14,633 educational events, which made up the first educational events report, published in March, breached the code. Medicines Australia chief executive Ian Chalmerssaid the report showed member companies were "committed to a very high ethical standard of corporate behaviour". He said the results reflected an effective system of self-regulation, although Medicines Australia continued to strive for 100% compliance.
