Three new ABPI company members in 2008

Executive Summary
Three pharmaceutical companies, Merz Pharma, Alexion Pharmaceuticals and Basilea Pharmaceuticals, have become full members of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry(ABPI) so far this year, taking the total number of new members, including general affiliate members, up to 16. New affiliate members include Advocate, a healthcare policy and public affairs consultancy, Vybrant Organisation, which provides training programmes to the pharmaceutical sector, the law firm Bristows, the recruitment firm Heidrick & Struggles, the chartered accountants Rawlinson & Hunter, the consultancies Ernst & Young and LEK Consulting, andTakeda Pharmaceuticals.
