Portuguese pharma association warns on spoiled packaging

APIFARMA, the Portuguese pharmaceutical industry association, is warning patients that they should only buy medicines with their original packaging and that all purchases should be made in pharmacies or other authorised outlets. The campaign, which carries the slogan "medicines, only in their original packaging", advises patients and healthcare professionals that interfering with packaging can lead to the sale of counterfeit medicines. It is to be disseminated through press ads in both healthcare and general interest publications.
