UK drug sales continue to fall whilst US holds lead

Executive Summary

An analysis of 12 leading markets has found sales of retail pharmacy drugs in the UK have fallen by 2% to $16.8 billion in the 12 months to August 2008, the latest IMS market summary reports. Spain continues to move closer to the UK sales size, increasing 6% to $15.4 billion, whilst Brazil also experienced significant growth, up by 10% to $12.5 billion.
