Aurobindo receives FDA approval for risperidone tablets

Aurobindo Pharmahas received final approval from the US FDAto manufacture and market risperidone tablets 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg, 3mg and 4mg, generic versions of Janssen's treatment for schizophrenia, Risperdal tablets, of the same strengths. It represents Aurobindo's 81st ANDA approval from the FDA. Risperdal tablets had sales of about $1.07 billion in the first half of 2008.
