Medgenics Makes Senior Appointments

Medgenics, Inc. has appointed Dr. Liza Squires vice-president of research and development, therapeutic area head of neuroscience and Dr. David Fitts vice-president and head of statistical sciences and data management. Dr. Stephen P. Spielberg has also joined the company's scientific advisory board. Most recently, Squires was chief medical officer (CMO) at Lumos Pharma and prior to this she was vice-president of research and development and ADHD business unit medical lead at Shire Pharmaceuticals. Fitts started his career at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (SB) and more recently he was head of biometrics at ViroPharma. Spielberg has been dean of the Dartmouth Medical School, vice-president for paediatric drug development at JNJ and deputy commissioner for medical products at the US FDA.
