Executive Summary
David Smith, executive vice-president of operations and information systems at AstraZeneca will retire from the company in mid-2015. His successor will be Pam P Cheng, who will join the company in June as a member of the senior executive team reporting to CEO, Pascal Soriot. Ms Cheng has experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, having spent 14 years in global manufacturing and supply chain roles at Merck & Co/Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD). More recently she gained experience in commercial operations in her current role as President, MSD China.
