Gilead names VP, hematology and oncology

Executive Summary
Gilead Sciences has named Dr Philippe C Bishop senior vice-president, hematology and oncology therapeutics. In this position, Dr Bishop will report to Dr John McHutchison executive vice-president, clinical research and will have responsibility for Gilead's programs in oncology. Dr Bishop will also join Gilead's executive committee. He joins Gilead from Genentech, where he has served as vice-president, product development of oncology since 2007.
