Nicox of France is to acquire Aciex Therapeutics, a private, US ophthalmic-focused pharma company for an upfront payment of $65m in the form of newly issued Nicox shares, plus contingent value rights (CVRs) related to certain US product approvals that could add a further $55m to the value of the deal.
