PhRMA names senior VP, comms

US-based industry association, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), has named Robert Zirkelbach senior vice-president of communications – effective 5 May 2014. Prior to joining PhRMA, Mr Zirkelback led policy communications, media relations, and grassroots advocacy at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). Prior to his time at AHIP, Mr Zirkelbach was press secretary to Congressman Jim Nussle. He will report to Josephine Martin, PhRMA's current executive vice-president of public affairs.
