Neurotech adds members to board, appoints CMO

Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, which is developing treatments for chronic retinal diseases, has named Dr Eugene de Juan and Dr Lester Kaplan to its board of directors. In addition, former Allergan vice-president and head of opthmology Dr Rhett Schiffman has joined Neurotech as chief medical officer. Dr de Juan is a retinal surgeon, inventor and entrepreneur; he is currently vice-chair of ForSight Labs. Meanwhile, Dr Kaplan was previously executive VP and president, research & development, and a board member of Allergan.
