Japan Bisono launch a first for transdermal beta-blockers

Astellas will launch on 10 September in Japan a patch for high blood pressure: literally. The firm is set to commercialize the world's first transdermal formulation of a beta1-blocker in the form of Bisono Tape, a bisoprolol-containing patch product for the once-daily treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension.
