Medivir names ex-Novartis exec head of commercial operations

Executive Summary
Research-based pharmaceutical company, Medivir, which develops drugs for the treatment of infectious diseases, has appointed Henrik Krook as executive vice-president of commercial operations. Mr Krook joins Stockholm, Sweden-based Medivir from Novartis Norway, where he was country manager/commercial director and also the Scandinavian head of a team working with sales and marketing. He will be responsible for the company's commercial activities, where a priority is to build a Nordic organization for the expected launch of hepatitis C drug, simeprevir.
