Spectrum names new chief medical officer

Executive Summary
Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company focused on hematology and oncology, has appointed Lee Allen chief medical officer. Prior to joining Henderson, Nevada-based Spectrum, Dr Allen served as chief medical officer at AMAG Pharmaceuticals. He will be responsible for the company's product pipeline and will report to Ken Keller, Spectrum's executive vice-president and chief operating officer. Additionally, Spectrum has appointed Dr Steve Fruchtman senior vice-president, hematology and oncology R&D, effective march 18 2013. Dr Fruchtman previously served as chief medical officer at Spectrum and will report to Dr Allen.
