Executive Summary
Discovery Laboratories, a specialty biotech focused on respiratory critical care based in Pennsylavania, has appointed John Leone chair of the board and John Cooper president and CEO following the resignation of former chair and CEO W Thomas Amick. Mr Amick had been a board member since 2004, chair since 2007 and CEO since 2010. Mr Cooper, who has also been elected to the board, served as Discovery Labs' executive vice-president and CFO until 2010 when he was made president and CFO. He will continue his role as CFO. Mr Leone has been a Discovery Labs board member since November 2012, and is currently a partner at Paul Capital Healthcare.
