Merck Serono spin-off Quartz Bio targets gap in bio-IT services market

A second start-up company has been formed by employees of Merck Serono's headquarters in Geneva, which is in the process of shutting down. Quartz Bio has been founded by the company's director of global bioinformatics, Jérôme Wojcik, and will employ three of his colleagues from his current team of 20, 13 of whom are based in Geneva.
