France's Proparco buys into Strides' African ops to support regional manufacturing

The French development financing institution, Proparco, has invested $12.5 million in the Indian firm Strides Arcolab's African arm by way of an equity stake. The deal values Strides' African operations at about $60 million and gives Proparco a 20% holding.
