Executive Summary
Former chairman and managing director of Lilly's Indian operations, Sandeep Gupta, has left the company to join Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as chief operating officer. Mr Gupta spent five years in his most recent role at Lilly, where he had served since April 1993. Melt van der Spuy will succeed Mr Gupta at Lilly. He joined Lilly as a sales representative in South Africa 18 years ago, and most recently served as the company's general manager in Taiwan.
