Former PhRMA CEO Tauzin joins CaptureRx

Billy Tauzin, a former congressman and PhRMA CEO, has joined the board of CaptureRx, a pharmaceutical benefits management company, also serving as chief industry relations officer. He has a personal interest in the company's 340B federal drug programme, which lowers the cost of healthcare at no cost to the government, having been diagnosed with a rare intestinal cancer in 2004 and beating his 1% chance of survival thanks to innovative drug therapies. As CEO of PhRMA, Mr Tauzin helped create the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, which provides free medicines to Americans.
