Executive Summary
England's Department of Health says that negotiations on an agreement on value-based pricing (VBP) will begin in 2012. It says it wants to "achieve a negotiated agreement" similar to the way in which it struck a deal with the pharmaceutical industry on current pricing system, the PPRS. In the meantime the department will engage with a "full range of interested stakeholders," it said in its response to the consultation on VBP.
