Greece is planning to introduce later this month its first tranche of therapeutic/prescribing protocols for common and serious diseases to fight against "provoked, incorrect and high cost prescribing", Professor Yannis Tountas, the president of the Greek drug regulator, the National Organisation for Medicines (EOF), told Scrip. The first of the protocols will be available by the end of this month and will cover rheumatoid arthritis and venous thrombosis.
