New chief medical officer at Tengion

Tengion, a US clinical-stage biotechnology company, has appointed Dr Sunita Sheth chief medical officer and vice-president of clinical and regulatory affairs. She will be responsible for developing clinical development strategies and implementing clinical trials. Dr Sheth most recently served as vice-president of the speciality care business unit for Pfizer as part of its acquisition of Wyeth. Before that, she spent four years at Wyeth, most recently as vice-president of cardiovascular, metabolic and infectious diseases.
