Others believe that they are nothing short of a combination of witchcraft and deception. However, as the UK’s Department of Health contemplates regulating practitioners who dispense these products, the pharmaceutical industry would do well to take note. The move to introduce assessment and accreditation procedures into the TCM sector could produce both opportunities and challenges.
