Executive Summary

The Polish pharmaceutical market grew by almost 11% to PLN21.4 billion ($7.6 billion) at wholesalers' prices last year, according to IMS Health. The growth was not affected by a 20% sales decline in December over the previous month, which was mainly caused by high sales in November in anticipation of swine flu and other respiratory infection epidemics, IMS said.
