New appointments at Watson

Robert Stewart has joined Watson Pharmaceuticals (US) as senior vice-president of global operations. Mr Stewart, who will be responsible for global manufacturing, supply chain, quality and technical operations, joins after an eight-year career at Abbott Laboratories, where he was most recently divisional vice-president of global supply chain. Thomas Russillo, executive vice-president and president of Watson's generics division, has also been named executive vice-president of global generics and will head the company's newly formed global generics commercial function. He will have overall responsibility for generic sales and marketing in the US and Canada, as well for all international markets.
